    alright so this issue has been going on for a long ass time

    i install something
    later i want to get rid of it...so i do
    my in my computer it says that i have the same amount of hard drive space left from when it was on my computer
    this happens for small files and large files
    why does it do this?

    have you tried defragging the drive? disk clean?

    yep
    it removes a lot
    but it still stays the same

    You have to empty the recycle bin (I assume you're in Windows). Then close the Windows Explorer window and re-open it. That should show the smaller size now on the drive. But until you empty the recycle bin (and if you're running Norton's, REALLY emptying it by destroying the "protected" files) all the file are all still there waiting to be restored.
